|Construction materials are mainly 1/2 inch thick plywood screwed to a 2x4 frame.
The entire tunnel was built in 4 foot long sections that are bolted together. This made construction easier and allows for easy disasembly in the event the tunnel is to be moved.

|The inside of the tunnel is sanded smooth and painted. Test section lighting and windows remain to be installed.|
|The fan is driven by a 400 HP engine with an automatic transmission. An automatic (as opposed to a standard) transmission protects the fan and structure by allowing a smooth start and also a smooth (coasting) stop if the engine should suddenly loose power. Brakes are also installed on the fan to assist in a smooth and controlled start as well as emergency stopping if necessary. Very fine and stable adjustments in airspeed are possible with a fine-adjust throttle cable.|
